Woodchase Park, New Destination for Year-Round Events, Fitness, Arts and Culture, Opens in Westchase District

West Houston residents, more specifically those in Westchase District, now have a new park and green space for year-round play, arts and culture, classes and seasonal events with the opening of the expansive Woodchase Park. Sneed Dog Park officially opened next to Sneed Elementary School's playground on Pagewood Lane. A large, enthusiastic crowd of people and furry friends attended a Grand Opening Celebration on a mild Saturday morning, February 27. Our first-ever Corporate Challenge was held in the spring of 1998. Approximately 100 athletes participated in the event representing a dozen Westchase District businesses. Back then, there were eight different events, including one that required participants to swim in the Quillian pools wearing a coat & tie and then take off the workplace attire and pass it to their co-worker who would continue the relay.
