WONDERLAND IN WESTCHASE

The unexpected rain failed to dampen the holiday spirit at the 6th annual Wonderland in Westchase celebration.  Organizers of the event, which is a collaboration of First Methodist Houston, Houston West Chamber of Commerce, Quillian Recreation Center and Westchase District,  simply moved some events around to make sure no guest was mired in the mud while enjoying the holiday activities. 

"It was a challenge," said Quillian Center Director Tom Gaden.  "But with a great committee and a lot of talented and dedicated volunteers, we were able to host the event and Santa, Mrs.  Claus had no trouble making it in from the North Pole.  The snow fell as promised and everyone who came out for the fun had a good time." 

Choirs from area schools provided entertainment on two stages.   Other guests included the Wayne Kerr Band and magician Carter Blackburn.
