  The team from BMC Software takes home the Corporate Challenge traveling trophy.

 

 

A check for  $20,978.00 is presented to Quillian Center staff upon conclusion of the event. This amount represents the proceeds from the 2008 Corporate Challenge and will go to provide scholarships for area kids to attend the Quillian Center's summer day camps. Pictured left-right are Jim Murphy, General Manager - Westchase District, Freddy Hurst, President - Sterling Bank, Tom Gaden, Director -  Quillian Center, and Karen Wallis - Westchase District . This is the 8th consecutive year that Sterling Bank is the Title Sponsor for the Westchase District Corporate Challenge.

 

CORPORATE CHALLENGE AWARDS, PROCEEDS DISTRIBUTED AT WESTCHASE DISTRICT EVENT

HOUSTON – BMC - Software took  top honors in the Westchase District's 11th annual Corporate Challenge. Team members are Rosalinda Mapula, Patrick Scott, Terry Gast, Steven Ramsey, Ahmad Shakora. The team earned the right to display the Corporate Challenge traveling trophy at their Westchase District office at CityWest Blvd. The Westchase District's Karen Wallis, who organized the event, congratulated BMC for their top finish. "This team showed that if you perform well across the board in all five events, you can take home the top prize," said Wallis. BMC scored 1st in NBA 2-Ball, 3rd in Hot Shot Hitting, 3rd in Briefcase Relay, 2nd in Soccer, and 13th in Dodge Ball.

West Houston Christian Center, earned the runner-up trophy. 2nd place team members are Jack Pidgeon, Jack R. Pidgeon, Troy Pidgeon, Tannessa Maddox, and Virgil Maddox.

Third place team members represented URS Corp.. They included Rusty Rex, Chris Levitz,  Kelly Mericle, Loc Cao, Sagi Kaborsi, Leah Cartwright

Special plaques are presented to the top performing team in each of the five events. They are:

At the conclusion of the awards program, Wallis presented a check to the Quillian Center's Tom Gaden for $. The Corporate Challenge proceeds go to provide need-based scholarships for area kids to attend Quillian's summer day camps. Sterling Bank CEO Freddy Hurst also participated in the check presentation. Sterling Bank has supported this event as Title Sponsor for eight consecutive years.
