2011 CORPORATE CHALLENGE RAISES FUNDS AND FUN!

The Westchase District's 14th annual Corporate Challenge lived up to its billing.  The April 1 event yielded sun, fun and competition, with only a handful of well-timed April Fools Day jokes.

Corporate Challenge participants competed in five athletic events:  NBA 2-ball, Soccer Kick, Briefcase Relay, Dodge Ball and -- new this year -- Football Toss.

Sterling Bank was the event Title Sponsor for the tenth year.  Several teams (Houston Community College, Camden and West Houston Medical Center) have competed ever year since the Corporate Challenge was founded.  Others (Blinds.com, Summit Energy, Westchase Forest Apartments) competed in their first ever Corporate Challenge.

Breakfast was provided by Jason's Deli and Kolache Factory  Outback Steakhouse cooked lunch onsite and snacks and beverages were provided all day by Absolatte and Whole Foods.

Previous event winners are: Adam's Mark Hotel (1998-1999), BMC Software (2000-2001), ABB Lummus Global (2002-2003), BMC Software (2004-2006), URS Corporation (2007), BMC Software (2008), Wesley Academy (2009) and Sterling Bank (2010).

Event proceeds benefit the Quillian Center's Summer Camp program, providing need-based scholarships for kids to attend Quillian's summer day camps.
